Amman, Oct. 5 (Petra) -- The Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced on Monday a new mechanism allowing Jordanian expatriates who do not possess a digital identity to access its new mobile application and utilize its electronic services.
The initiative aims to streamline service delivery for overseas citizens, enabling them to track insurance status and process transactions online.
The SSC stated in a press release that expatriates without a digital identity can access the application by entering their national ID number, personal details, passport number, current country of residence, country code, and international phone number. Applicants must also provide details for a first-degree relative residing in Jordan who holds an active digital ID, including their national ID, civil ID number, and phone number.
Upon submitting the application, an automated data verification process is initiated, and a text message is sent to the designated first-degree relative. The relative must confirm the accuracy of the expatriate's information through their own account on the SSC app within 72 hours.
Following confirmation by the relative, the expatriate receives a link to set a password, granting them full access to their account and the app's suite of digital services via their national ID and new password.
The SSC added that it continues to upgrade the mobile application, featuring a smart, responsive login interface alongside ongoing performance and service enhancements.
