Upon Royal directives, Royal Court Chief Visits Injured Military Service Conscripts After Karak Bus Crash

Karak, Tafileh, Sept. 10 (Petra)-- Upon royal directives, Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi visited Thursday evening people injured in a traffic accident involving a civilian bus carrying several military service conscripts.

The injured are receiving treatment at Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein Military Hospital, Karak Government Hospital, Tafileh Government Hospital and Al Hussein Medical City. Issawi visited them to check on their health and follow up on the medical care being provided to them.

Issawi conveyed to the injured and their families the wishes of His Majesty King Abdullah II and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II for their speedy recovery, stressing the King’s keenness to follow up on their health and ensure they receive the best possible medical care and attention.

During his visits to the hospitals, Issawi checked on the injured and the progress of their treatment and was briefed by medical teams on their conditions and the treatment procedures being undertaken.

He also checked on the condition of one of the injured who had been transferred from Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein Military Hospital in Karak to Al Hussein Medical City. He visited the patient and was briefed by the medical team overseeing the case on the patient’s condition.

The civilian bus, which was carrying several military service conscripts returning to their places of residence in the southern governorates, was involved at 3:15 p.m. Thursday in a collision with a cargo vehicle on the Desert Highway in the Al-Bayda area of Karak Governorate.

The accident resulted in the deaths of four military service conscripts and the civilian bus driver, while 18 conscripts were injured. The injuries of 16 of them were described as moderate, while two sustained serious injuries.

The injured were evacuated and taken to Prince Ali Military Hospital, Karak Government Hospital and Tafileh Government Hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical care under the supervision of specialized medical teams.

Issawi expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of those who died, praying that God Almighty grant them His mercy and forgiveness, give their families patience and solace, and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
