Ayla Oasis Development becomes first Jordanian company to earn global EDGE certification

Aqaba, April 19 (Petra) -- Ayla Oasis Development Company has been awarded the global Economic Dividends for Gender Equality (EDGE) certification, a milestone that solidifies its regional leadership in promoting equity, diversity, and gender equality in the workplace.

The EDGE certification is the leading global standard for evaluating corporate commitment to inclusive and sustainable workplace practices. Ayla’s attainment of this credential marks it as the first company in Jordan and one of only a few in the Arab world to achieve such international recognition.

Sahl Dudin, Managing Director of Ayla Oasis Development Company, described the certification as a pivotal moment in the company’s journey. He stated that the achievement reflects the institution’s vision of fostering a work environment grounded in fairness and empowerment, noting that the success was driven by the team’s collective commitment and cooperation.

"At Ayla, we view this achievement not as a final destination, but as a launchpad for further innovation in our institutional practices," Dudin said. "It ensures a sustainable, fair, and motivating work environment for every member of our team." According to a company statement, the certification followed a rigorous and systematic evaluation process. This included in-depth data analysis, a comprehensive review of internal policies and procedures, and direct engagement with employees to gather feedback on workplace inclusivity.

This recognition reflects Ayla’s commitment to four pillars in its HR framework: gender balance across all talent development stages, pay equity and transparency, fair opportunities for career advancement, and an inclusive culture where all employees feel valued.

By joining an elite group of global organizations that utilize data-driven methods to promote equality, Ayla continues to lead efforts for positive institutional change in the regional business landscape.
