Energy Minister Reviews Progress on Economic Modernization Vision Programs

Amman, July 9 (Petra) -- Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh chaired on Thursday a regular meeting with liaison officers from the energy and mining sectors to review work reports related to the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision 2026-2029 and the progress achieved in both sectors through the end of June.

During the meeting, the minister called for continued efforts to meet the targets of the vision, particularly in expanding the use of clean energy, improving the efficiency of the electricity system, reducing energy costs, and strengthening environmental sustainability.

Kharabsheh stressed the importance of adhering to the objectives of the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision 2026-2029 and maintaining ongoing coordination with relevant partners to ensure that assigned tasks are completed within the approved timelines.

He said the energy and mining sectors represent key components in strengthening the national economy and supporting other sectors. He also highlighted the role of the private sector as a partner in implementing projects under the vision and contributing to economic growth and sustainable development.
