Amman, Oct. 29 (Petra) --Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) wrapped up the US leg of its "Bridging Connections" tour, its largest promotional roadshow in North America in 2026, according to a board statement Thursday.
According to a JTB statement, the campaign aims to strengthen Jordan’s presence on the global tourism map and expand partnerships with tour operators and travel advisers in the United States.
Stops in Chicago, Los Angeles and Dallas drew "wide" engagement from US tourism sector representatives and Jordanian tourism companies. The events featured direct bilateral meetings and focused on building new partnerships and promoting Jordan’s diverse tourism product, including religious, luxury and adventure tourism.
Los Angeles recorded the "highest" participation. In Dallas, religious tourism operators showed interest in developing specialized programs in Jordan, particularly visits to the Baptism Site, as preparations continue for the celebration of the second millennium of the baptism of Jesus Christ in 2023.
In a related context, Royal Jordanian’s (RJ) direct flights between Dallas-Fort Worth and Amman helped boost cooperation opportunities and attract more American visitors to the Kingdom.
The RJ took part in the tour and gave participants tickets to Jordan as prizes. The move strengthened interaction between partners and Jordanian tourism companies, and supported efforts to turn professional meetings into business deals and actual tourism bookings.
Meanwhile, Jordan Hotel Association (JHA) board chairman Hussein Hilalat said the hotel sector’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting national tourism promotion.
He said direct meetings with senior tour operators in the United States offer opportunities to build sustainable partnerships and open new markets for Jordanian hotels and resorts.
Hani Dabbas, board member and media spokesperson for the JTB, said the tour achieved encouraging results. He cited the interest US tourism companies showed in including Jordan in their programs.
He said the JTB is working to turn these meetings into actual bookings and strengthen cooperation with partners in the US market.
The JBT continues its promotional efforts in North American markets. The tour heads to its final stop in Mexico City, as part of the board’s strategy to expand its base of international partners and strengthen Jordan’s competitiveness as an integrated tourist destination.
The JBT cited the "diversity" of its tourism product and direct air links with the US market.
