Princess Basma Teaching Hospital Opens Specialized Stroke Unit

Irbid, July 28 (Petra) -- Princess Basma Teaching Hospital in Irbid on Tuesday inaugurated a specialized Stroke Unit within its Emergency Department, enhancing the hospital's capacity to provide rapid diagnosis and treatment for stroke patients and improve clinical outcomes.

Hospital Director Dr. Walid Al-Halabi told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the unit has been equipped with advanced medical equipment and staffed by qualified physicians and nursing personnel trained to manage stroke cases in accordance with the latest internationally recognized treatment protocols.

He said the new unit will facilitate prompt diagnosis and timely medical intervention, improving patients' chances of recovery while raising the quality of healthcare services provided.

Al-Halabi noted that the project forms part of the Ministry of Health's strategy to expand specialized healthcare services and strengthen the performance of emergency departments in government hospitals.

The initiative is aimed at enhancing the quality of healthcare services, keeping pace with best medical practices and ensuring improved medical care for citizens across the Kingdom.
