Al-Faisaly Extend Lead at Top of Pro League as Goalfest Highlights Matchday 5

AMMAN, Oct. 18 (Petra) – Table-toppers Al-Faisaly extended their dominance at the summit of the Jordanian Pro League following a clinical 4-1 victory over Al-Ramtha, capping off a high-scoring Matchday 5 that produced 13 goals across five fixtures.

Al-Faisaly's four-goal blitz was sparked by Malik Allan in the 13th minute, followed by strikes from Majdi Al-Attar (54th), Claudio Maradona (86th), and Ahmad Ersan deep into stoppage time (90+1st). Mohammad Khalil netted Al-Ramtha's solitary consolation goal in the 63rd minute.

In the matchday's most prolific clash, Al-Jazira routed Doqara 5-1, propelled by a hat-trick performance from Yaseen Al-Bakhit (21st, 58th, 87th). Rawad Abu Khairzan (33rd) and Yahya Bakhit (83rd) added to the tally, while Omar Al-Khatib scored early for Doqara in the 8th minute.

Elsewhere, Al-Wehdat edged past Al-Hussein 1-0 thanks to a 23rd-minute winner from Hamza Al-Naeem, while Al-Arabi snatched a dramatic late 1-0 victory over Shabab Al-Ordon courtesy of a 90th-minute winner by Moataz Obeidat. Meanwhile, Al-Baqa'a and Al-Salt played out a goalless 0-0 stalemate.

Following the Week 5 results, Al-Faisaly solidify their lead at the top of the table with 13 points, five points clear of a four-way tie for second place comprising Al-Ramtha, Al-Wehdat, Al-Baqa'a, and Al-Jazira with 8 points each. Al-Salt and Al-Hussein follow with 5 points, Al-Arabi and Doqara sit on 4 points, while Shabab Al-Ordon trail at the bottom with 3 points.
