Youth Minister inspects youth, sports centers in Madaba

Madaba, Oct. 14 (Petra) -- Minister of Youth Raed Adwan conducted a field inspection tour of several youth centers and sports facilities across Madaba Governorate to review operations, assess infrastructure needs, and monitor youth engagement.

Accompanied by Director of the Madaba Youth Directorate Nayef Abu Rumman, the minister began his visit at the Lib Youth and Young Women Center, where he inspected facilities and met with staff and members to discuss training needs.

During the visit, Adwan reviewed the progress of an English language program for job seekers, which the ministry is implementing in partnership with Amideast. The program aims to enhance participants' language and communication skills to prepare them for the labor market better.

At the Mulaih Young Women Center, Adwan ordered maintenance work to improve facilities and create a suitable environment for youth activities. He also attended an orientation session on the fourth cycle of the Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Service, which highlighted nomination procedures and the importance of documenting community initiatives to foster a culture of volunteerism among young women.

The minister then visited the Mulaih Youth Center, where he inspected facilities and observed a taekwondo training session designed to build physical discipline, focus, and teamwork among participants. Meeting with young members, Adwan reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to offering structured sports programs that uncover and nurture local talent.

Adwan concluded his tour at the Madaba Youth and Young Women Center, reviewing training activities in taekwondo, boxing, drawing, and the Prince Ali Grassroots Football Academies. He emphasized the role of such programs in honing athletic and artistic capabilities.
