22nd Irbid Int'l Dental Conference Opens at Jadara University

Irbid, Oct. 8 (Petra) -- The 22nd Irbid International Dental Conference opened at the Jadara University on Wednesday, organized by the Jordanian Dental Association under the theme "Modern Dentistry: Authenticity and Innovation." The three-day conference addresses the latest developments and technologies across various fields of dentistry through specialized sessions, lectures, and workshops, alongside a specialized scientific exhibition.
During the opening ceremony, Jadara University President Dr. Habes Al-Zoubi expressed the university’s pride in hosting the conference, emphasizing its commitment to supporting scientific and professional events and strengthening cooperation between the academic sector, institutions, and professional associations.
Chairman of the conference’s Scientific Committee Dr. Ahmad Al-Khreis outlined the main topics of the scientific program, which covers specialized areas of dentistry, as well as sessions and workshops addressing the latest trends and technologies in the profession.
Conference President and Head of the Irbid Branch of the Jordanian Dental Association Dr. Omar Naqresh said the conference provides a platform bringing together dentists, academics, and specialized companies through an integrated scientific and professional program. He praised Jadara University for hosting the conference and providing the facilities and equipment needed for its successful implementation.
Dr. Aya Al-Asmar, President of the Jordanian Dental Association ,highlighted the association’s efforts to advance professional work and serve its members, support young dentists, and expand investment, insurance, and digital transformation initiatives, in addition to developing its financial and administrative systems. She also highlighted several issues the association has worked to address, including non-surgical cosmetic procedures in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
The opening ceremony featured a video presentation by the Ministry of Culture as part of its "Jordanian Narrative" program, as well as a presentation by Jadara University Vice President Dr. Iman Al-Bshaiti on the university’s history, key achievements, and presence in university rankings. The ceremony also included a musical performance by the Public Security Directorate Band.
The opening was attended by Jadara University Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, along with several former presidents of the Jordanian Dental Association, lawmakers, doctors, academics, and official and professional figures.
The event concluded with the honoring of Jadara University and a number of individuals and organizations that supported the conference, followed by the opening of the accompanying scientific exhibition.
