Amman, March 26 (Petra) – The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, launched the third phase of the "ARDI-My Land" project.

This project aims to enhance on-farm and off-farm employment skills and empower youth and women across the Kingdom's governorates to acquire the necessary professional skills for working in the Kingdom's agricultural sector.

According to a VTC statement issued on Thursday, the project aims to develop trainees' capabilities under training programs that combine theoretical and practical aspects, with a focus on the use of modern agricultural technologies.

This process will enhance employment opportunities and productivity in this vital sector.

Additionally, the "ARDI-My Land" project seeks to support sustainable agricultural development and contribute to strengthening national food security, in line with Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision (EMV).

The vision focuses on developing productive sectors and enhancing the youth's competitiveness in the labor market, particularly in strategic fields such as agriculture.

The project also seeks to develop agricultural training programs in various agricultural fields by focusing on applied training environments.

In these activities, trainees are prepared for direct entry into the labor market and contribute to building a sustainable agricultural sector that supports the national economy and meets the EMV's aspirations.

The project includes the implementation of 61 training courses nationwide and the VTC's institutes, with a capacity of up to 3,100 trainees and offers training that combines theoretical and practical aspects using the latest agricultural technologies.

On its benefits, the project provides transportation allowances during the training period, as well as a professional certificate that qualifies trainees to work "efficiently" in the agricultural sector.

On its variety of specializations, the project mainly offers training in date palm and greenhouse farming, irrigation network installation, aquaponics, hydroponics, horticulture, nurseries and ornamental plants, pastry and pie industry, dairy production, chef's assistant, fruit and vegetable drying practices, pickle and jam production, and other horticultural activities.

The project continues its previous successes after graduating approximately 2,000 young men and women in its first phase and 2,170 beneficiaries in its second phase, all qualified to work in the agricultural sector.

Some alumni have even successfully launched their own agricultural projects, reflecting the project's impact on enhancing agricultural skills and supporting the national labor market.

The VTC and the Ministry of Agriculture aim to empower young men and women to acquire the necessary practical skills to support the national agricultural sector and promote sustainable development.

The corporation invites those interested applicants to register online via the following link: https://ereg.vtc.gov.jo/project_Reg.aspx?CodeX=BA.
