Amman, Nov. 2 (Petra)-- The Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA), along with camp service committees, advisory bodies, and civil society organizations in Palestinian refugee camps across Jordan, praised the key themes of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s address opening parliament’s third ordinary session.
In a statement released on Monday, the department stated that the royal speech reflected the Hashemite leadership's deep connection to the public, citing the king's affirmation that national strength stems from public cohesion, wisdom, and institutional trust under the rule of law.
The statement commended the speech's directives to advance political, economic, and administrative modernization, accelerate major national projects, and secure water rights to drive sustainable development and enhance living standards.
Camp organizations also expressed pride in the address’s emphasis on national security, counter-terrorism, and support for the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) and security agencies in safeguarding state stability.
On regional affairs, the DPA reaffirmed its support for Jordan's steadfast stance on the Palestinian cause, highlighting the king’s efforts to defend Palestinian rights, reject Israeli aggression in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, and uphold the historical Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
