Amman, Nov. 4 (Petra) -- Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ibrahim Tarawneh received Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Wednesday, with both sides emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the legislative and executive branches in accordance with the Constitution.

Hassan congratulated Tarawneh and members of the Lower House's Permanent Bureau on securing the confidence of their fellow lawmakers.

The meeting underscored the importance of continued consultation on legislation and other issues of mutual concern to serve the public interest and ensure complementary roles between the two branches of government.

Tarawneh stressed that closer cooperation, within the constitutional framework, is essential to translating His Majesty King Abdullah II's Speech from the Throne into concrete programs and achievements that improve citizens' lives and meet their aspirations.
