Amman, Feb. 19 (Petra) – Ministries of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and Social Development on Thursday launched the national donation platform "Oun-Help" in its trial phase.

The step precedes the official start of donations on February 26, allowing citizens to "easily" donate through available digital payment methods.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Digital Economy on Thursday, the new platform is a government digital portal dedicated to organizing and collecting donations for underprivileged Jordanian families.

The platform operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Development and technical support from the Ministry of Digital Economy.

On its goals, the service aims to enhance efficiency of charitable work and ensure delivery of aid to deserving people "transparently and reliably" through an official and secure digital channel.

The platform also provides an "easy" digital donation experience that allows individuals and companies to support beneficiary households any time using available e-payment methods and digital wallets.

The statement said this effort streamlines donation process and expands community participation, as the platform serves as a digital link between donors and officially licensed and registered charitable organizations and associations with Ministry of Social Development nationwide.

As for their role, these entities are tasked of delivering donations to eligible families, while the platform's role is limited to organizing, tracking, and monitoring the process electronically within a mechanism that ensures transparency, reliability, and efficient delivery of support to needy people.

The statement affirmed this step promotes a culture of organized and digital benefaction and reinforces the values ​​of social solidarity using modern technology.
