Amman, March 16 (Petra) – The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said authorities followed up on a video circulated on social media on Monday showing the driver of a small school transport bus physically assaulting a young girl and throwing her onto the ground from his vehicle while transporting her to school. The incident was filmed in eastern Amman.

The spokesperson said the driver’s identity was identified, and he was arrested after authorities located him.

Investigations revealed that the assaulted girl is his daughter. Legal measures will be taken against him, and he will be referred to the Family Protection Department to carry out family and social follow-up concerning the child to ensure she is not subjected to harm in the future.
