Madaba, Nov. 8 (Petra) - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, visiting Northern Al Mushrifah in Madaba on Sunday, paid respects to the family of fallen officer Jawad Salayta.

Hassan extended condolences on behalf of the Jordanian government and people.

The Prime Minister said that under Hashemite leadership, the state will take an "unyielding" stance against terrorism and extremist ideology, combating it through security operations, legal reforms, and societal engagement.

Hassan pointed to the Cabinet's decision on Sunday to initiate a package of legislative amendments intending to stiffen penalties for terrorism offenses, calling it a "critical step" in bolstering national security and deterring extremism.
