Amman, Oct. 8 (Petra) - The Public Security Directorate (PSD) issued a safety advisory on Thursday, urging citizens to take precautions ahead of expected adverse weather conditions across parts of Jordan.

In their latest update, meteorologists forecast scattered rain showers, occasionally accompanied by thunder, in southern and southeastern regions.

The PSD warned drivers of low visibility, particularly on desert highways and open badia areas, caused by dust-laden winds.

Authorities advised motorists to avoid speeding, follow traffic instructions from police officers, and call emergency services at 911 if needed.
