Amman, April 26 (Petra) – Director General of Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC), Mohammad Dujjan, underscored the importance of interagency partnerships and their role in providing "subsidized," interest-free agricultural loans to stimulate modern, climate-adapted agricultural practices.

Dujjan noted this effort contributes to empowering farmers, increasing "efficiency" of agricultural production, and ensuring its sustainability, in accordance with approved environmental and social standards.

His call came during his patronage of a ceremony dedicated to reviewing achievements and progress of "Credit and Loans Initiative for Agricultural Technology Enhancement" project, held at Jordan River Foundation (JRF) headquarters.

The ceremony was attended by the World Food Programme (WFP)'s Program Manager, Mohammad Ismail, and JRF Director General, Enaam Barishi.

In their remarks, Ismail and Barishi reviewed cooperation aspects in implementing the project and the tangible outcomes on the ground.

They also stressed the need for continued joint coordination to deliver support and funding for the targeted groups in all governorates of the Kingdom.

During the meeting, a detailed presentation was provided to highlight the project's achievements, findings of the training needs assessment, and a discussion of the challenges and lessons learned from the fieldwork.

Technical workshops were also held to develop funding solutions tailored to agricultural companies and associations, aimed to ensure the desired economic impact and the sector's development.

Concluding the discussions, participants agreed on an action plan for the next phase, underlining their commitment to providing the "best possible" financial and technical services to support the Kingdom's agricultural sector and contribute to achieving food security.
