Amman, Oct. 27 (Petra) -- The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) confirmed on Tuesday that its field crews and machinery have been deployed across various districts of the capital to manage the impact of the ongoing weather depression affecting the Kingdom.

Amman experienced heavy rainfall over a short period, leading to soil erosion and sediment buildup in several areas. GAM specialized teams responded immediately to clear debris, unblock storm drains, and maintain smooth traffic flow across the city.

GAM stated that its field units are operating under its emergency response plan, with continuous coordination through central operations rooms to address citizen reports and mitigate flash flooding risks.

The municipality urged residents to exercise caution during the heavy rains, avoid low-lying areas and valley streams, and report emergencies through its unified contact center hotline (102).
