Environment minister urges action to curb littering, improve services

Amman, May 3 (Petra) -- Minister of Environment Ayman Suleiman stressed the importance of implementing the executive program of the national cleanliness strategy and tackling the random disposal of waste.

During a visit on Sunday to the Environmental Protection Directorate in Irbid, part of field tours to monitor the performance of the ministry’s directorates across the kingdom, Suleiman called for stronger cooperation and partnerships with official bodies and local community institutions to achieve environmental goals.

He reviewed the workflow across the directorate’s departments and was briefed on key services and procedures provided to citizens, emphasizing the need to improve performance quality and simplify procedures to enhance service delivery.

Suleiman met with staff to hear their observations and demands and the operational and administrative challenges they face, and asked for the measures needed to boost efficiency and address needs that improve institutional performance.
