Israeli forces arrest 16 Palestinians in occupied West Bank

Ramallah, August 1 (Petra) – Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale raid and arrest campaign across several areas of the occupied West Bank on Saturday, detaining 16 Palestinians.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club said in a statement that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Bethlehem and Ramallah.

In a separate incident, extremist Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian man and his wife in the village of Beitillu, northwest of Ramallah.

According to the Beitillu Village Council, a group of settlers stormed an area of the village and assaulted the couple while they were working on their farm, injuring both of them.

They were transferred to a hospital in Ramallah for medical treatment.
