Senate Head hails professionalism of security bodies, armed forces

Amman, Oct 26 (Petra) – Senate President Faisal Fayez on Monday commended security bodies and the Jordan Armed Forces for the professionalism and tireless efforts to counter extremism and foil terrorist attacks that seek to undermine the nation’s security and stability and its unity.

He voiced the Senate’s pride in security services, which promptly moved to apprehend the "cowardly killers and terrorists" who targeted innocent citizens at the church in Hmoud village in Karak Governorate.

Fayez congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and the entire Jordanian family on the capture of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack by the security agencies, which called "a national achievement." "This accomplishment adds to the key successes made by Jordan’s security bodies and armed forces in defending the nation, safeguarding its security, and protecting its citizens and guests," he said.

"It demonstrates our security services and armed forces remain vigilant against the forces of darkness and terrorism, or any treacherous hands trying to harm Jordan, undermine its national unity and social fabric, or violate the sanctity of its pure soil," said Fayez.

The Senate Head said Jordan will stay resilient against the forces of evil, driven by His Majesty's resolve, and through the efforts of its security services and armed forces, bolstered by the awareness of Jordanians.

"Jordan will remain a rock on which all malicious conspiracies and designs, hatched in the shadows by forces of evil and darkness, are shattered," Fayez said.

He pledged the Senate’s support for the armed forces and security bodies as "the nation's shield and guardians of its security and stability." //Petra//SS
