Amman, Oct. 26 (Petra) - Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education institutions (AQACHEI) President Dhafer Saraira met virtually on Monday with representatives of the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) to explore Australia's school registration, evaluation, and quality assurance frameworks.
The meeting focused on Victoria's regulatory frameworks, school registration procedures, periodic compliance reviews, and complaint handling systems.
Annie Tinney, VRQA Deputy CEO, outlined Victoria's standards, which encompass infrastructure, emergency management, governance, financial management, student protection, teacher qualifications, and curriculum design.
In turn, AQACHEI presented Jordan's proposed framework for school accreditation. The draft standards evaluate institutional governance, teaching and learning quality, student welfare, human and physical resources, and educational outcomes to determine accreditation levels and durations.
Both officials noted the value of international benchmarks in refining Jordan's school accreditation standards to align with national legislation and local context. They agreed to exchange regulatory documents, guidelines, and online resources to support Jordan’s ongoing education quality review and foster future collaboration.
