Ajloun, Sept 22 (Petra) Official, civic, and political leaders in Ajloun Governorate affirmed on Tuesday that the address delivered by His Majesty King Abdullah II at the opening of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, attended by HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, articulates an integrated Jordanian strategy for regional and global issues.

Community leaders highlighted that Jordan's participation at the UN General Assembly serves as an essential forum to present national perspectives, emphasize political and diplomatic solutions, and strengthen international cooperation to address interconnected regional challenges.

They noted that the royal speech was resolute in confronting illegal settlement expansion, land confiscation, forced displacement, and settler violence, placing the international community before a test regarding its commitment to applying international law without double standards.

Ajloun Governor Nayef Al-Hedayat stated that the King’s speech reflects Jordan’s ongoing engagement in global forums to advocate for dialogue, mutual respect, and international legitimacy to ensure regional peace and stability.

MP Ayatullah Al-Freihat emphasized that the address underscores Jordan’s steadfast approach to regional crises, prioritizing human rights and national security while serving as a clear voice for Arab causes on the world stage.

Firas Al-Henandeh, president of Ajloun National University, remarked that the speech grounds complex geopolitical issues in both political and humanitarian contexts, stressing that resolving Middle Eastern conflicts requires genuine international political will.

Former Minister Malek Haddad stated that the royal address offers a precise assessment of regional dangers, warning that leaving conflicts unresolved undermines economic development and long-term security.

Muawiah Annab, head of the Ajloun Governorate Council committee, noted that political stability forms the foundation for economic progress, praising Jordan's call for sustainable regional partnerships.

Ismail Al-Arood, head of the Kufranja Municipality committee, praised the King's emphasis on joint action, noting that regional instability directly impacts local service delivery, economic growth, and employment opportunities.

Ayman Freihat, dean of Ajloun University College, highlighted the speech's focus on youth, education, and human capital development as critical components for community resilience.

Malki Bani Atta, head of the Union of Charitable Societies in Ajloun, emphasized the humanitarian dimension of the address, calling for stronger partnerships between civil society, government bodies, and international organizations to alleviate social and economic burdens.

Mouza Freihat, head of the Change Party branch in Ajloun, said political parties share a responsibility to support state efforts by raising civic awareness and fostering dialogue on national priorities.

Muntaha Obeidat, vice president of the Family Cultural Forum, concluded that political and economic stability directly safeguards families and empowers women and youth to navigate regional challenges.
