Amman, March 17 (Petra) -- The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) on Tuesday issued a strong condemnation of the aggression targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Arab nations in the Arabian Gulf region.

The organization cited Iranian violations of sovereignty against Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait. In a statement, ALECSO said these actions damage economic interests, breach international laws and norms, and violate the principles of good neighborliness. It further noted that such actions threaten international peace and security and the stability of the Arab region.

ALECSO also condemned Israeli aggression against the State of Palestine and the Lebanese Republic. The Tunis-based organization expressed its full solidarity with all Arab nations currently facing conflict.

The organization called for the voice of wisdom and reason to prevail, demanding an immediate end to what it characterized as barbaric Iranian and Israeli aggression against Arab states.
