Tunis, March 5 (Petra) -- The Council of Arab Interior Ministers strongly condemned the brutal Iranian aggression and the violation of the sovereignty of Jordan and several other Arab countries.

In a statement issued Wednesday evening, the Council's General Secretariat said it "condemns in the strongest terms the blatant Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty and airspace of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait." The Secretariat expressed its strong condemnation of what it described as unjustified aggression, saying it constitutes a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations. It affirmed its complete rejection of Iranian actions that undermine security and stability in the region and disrupt efforts aimed at de-escalation and peace.

The statement also stressed that Arab countries have consistently taken the lead in pursuing diplomatic initiatives designed to promote stability and dialogue in the region.

The Council reaffirmed its full solidarity with the affected states, voicing strong support for any measures they deem necessary to protect their sovereignty, maintain security, and safeguard regional stability.
