Amman, April 12 (Petra) – The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) hosted the third "Nahno Platform Ambassadors Forum" on Saturday, a national gathering aimed at fostering youth leadership and scaling volunteerism across Jordan’s academic institutions.
The "Nahno" platform – the National Platform for Volunteering and Engagement – is a CPF initiative supported by UNICEF and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Youth. Since its inception in 2019, the program has mobilized approximately 1,315 ambassadors across 28 universities nationwide.
According to a CPF statement released Sunday, the forum serves as an annual bridge between outgoing and newly appointed ambassadors. This year’s event brought together 58 ambassadors and university liaison officers to synchronize efforts in promoting a culture of service within local communities.
The forum highlighted the platform's expansive reach. Since 2019, more than 250,000 volunteers have registered, contributing over 7 million volunteer hours. These efforts are categorized into eight core pillars: – Education and Health – Entrepreneurship and Technology – Environment and Arts – Sports and Community Aid The event featured an interactive "peer-to-peer" dialogue session, where seasoned ambassadors shared success stories and navigated challenges with their successors. These discussions focused on organizing high-impact initiatives that address specific local community needs while leveraging university resources.
The forum also facilitated breakout sessions between ambassadors and university liaison officers. These meetings aimed to map out local support systems and strengthen provincial-level cooperation to ensure the sustainability of youth-led volunteer activities.
By institutionalizing these exchanges, CPF aims to empower university students not only as volunteers but as leaders capable of mobilizing their peers and maintaining the momentum of the national volunteering movement.
