Amman, March 30 (Petra) -- General Manager of the Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD), Ghaith Ghazi Tayeb, said that developing and improving the physical environment of the department’s offices is a key element in enhancing citizen satisfaction and upgrading the level of services provided.

He gave his remarks during a field visit on Monday to the Jabal Al-Hussein Civil Status and Passports Office to review workflow and follow up on service delivery after the implementation of a package of spatial and technical improvements within the office.

Tayeb stated that the department is continually updating its services and procedures to expedite and simplify transactions for citizens. He emphasized that enhancing the work environment has a positive impact on both customer experience and employee performance.

He added that the improvements at the Jabal Al-Hussein office included reorganizing service pathways and upgrading waiting and reception areas to ensure a more comfortable and organized environment for visitors.

Tayeb said the department is continuing to implement a comprehensive maintenance and modernization plan for a number of its offices across the Kingdom, within a carefully designed timeline aimed at improving the service environment and increasing efficiency. He noted that the Jabal Amman and Zarqa offices have been temporarily closed for maintenance and development purposes, in addition to upgrade and expansion work at offices in Ajloun, Deir Alla and Petra.

He added that development works also included the express service office at the department’s headquarters, where infrastructure was upgraded and interior spaces redesigned to ensure efficient distribution of service areas, alongside the enhancement of waiting and reception areas in line with the highest standards of quality and comfort. This has helped streamline service processes, reduce waiting times, and improve the flow of visitors, he said, noting that these efforts reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing institutional performance and raising customer satisfaction.
