Amman, Sept 14 (Petra) -- Forbes Middle East has named Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Specialty Hospital, to its list of the Middle East's 50 Most Powerful Healthcare Leaders for 2026 for the fourth consecutive year.
According to a hospital statement issued on Monday, Dr. Al-Hammouri featured on the cover of the magazine's special edition, highlighting his leadership at Specialty Hospital, the expansion of its medical services, investments in modern technology, and growth plans through the acquisition of Farah Hospital and The Gardens Hospital.
Dr. Al-Hammouri said the recognition reflects Specialty Hospital's collective teamwork and underscores the strength of Jordan's healthcare sector, which continues to demonstrate regional and international competitiveness. With over 35 years of executive experience in healthcare, Dr. Al-Hammouri previously led the Private Hospitals Association (PHA) for multiple terms and served as president of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) in 2015.
His efforts contributed to Jordan winning the "Medical Tourism Destination of the Year" award in 2014, the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) designating Jordan as a regional hub for medical and wellness tourism in 2023, and the kingdom securing permanent membership in the International Hospital Federation (IHF) in 2020, where he served on the Governing Council from 2021 to 2023.
