Gaza Strip, March 14 (Petra) -- Two Palestinians were killed on Saturday when Israeli occupation forces bombed a police checkpoint in the Al-Amal neighborhood, north of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, a ccording to Palestinian sources.
They said Israeli artillery and gunfire shelled areas east of Gaza and targeted areas north of Beit Lahia.
In a separate incident, two Palestinians were injured when trees fell down on tents sheltering displaced people in the Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, as a dust storm with strong winds swept through the region.
Hundreds of tents of refugees were blown away by the storm in various parts of the strip, exacerbating the suffering of people living in shelters and tents.
The Civil Defense in Gaza called on people to take safety precautions to face the dust-laden air mass affecting the strip.
