Amman, July 15 (Petra)-- Al-Hussein Technical University (HTU), an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), has signed an agreement with the British Council to establish a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to high-quality English language education in Jordan through a new training branch on the university's campus.
The partnership was launched on Wednesday during a ceremony attended by the British Ambassador to Jordan, Philip Hall, marking a significant milestone in cooperation between the university and the British Council to provide specialized learning environments, according to a university statement.
Under the agreement, the British Council will deliver internationally recognized English language courses on campus, helping learners develop communication skills essential for higher education, career advancement, and employability in an increasingly globalized workforce.
The collaboration aligns with the university’s commitment to building an integrated learning ecosystem that extends beyond traditional academic curricula. Students, graduates, working professionals, and the wider community will have access to training designed to support lifelong learning and professional readiness.
HTU president Ismael Al-Hinti said during the ceremony that the partnership is a valuable addition to the university's broader learning framework, emphasizing that English proficiency is no longer optional but a key driver for academic and professional success.
"English proficiency is no longer an extra advantage; it has become a fundamental enabler for education, employment, and international engagement," Al-Hinti said. "Hosting the British Council on our campus reflects our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality learning opportunities that equip individuals with the skills needed to navigate a rapidly changing job market."
