Irbid, Nov. 15 (Petra) – The Irbid Chamber of Industry has launched a training program on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), targeting workers in the food and pharmaceutical sectors across northern governorates, with the aim of strengthening professional knowledge and reinforcing compliance with internationally recognized quality and safety standards.

The initiative is part of the Chamber’s efforts to support national industries and enable service institutions to improve the skills of their personnel in ways that enhance productivity, competitiveness and the quality of services delivered to the public.

Hani Abu Hassan, President of the Irbid Chamber of Industry, said such training programs form a cornerstone for advancing the industrial sector and contributing to the development of local communities.

He added that Good Manufacturing Practices are no longer optional but essential to ensuring product quality and consumer safety. He noted that the program reflects the Chamber’s commitment to equipping workers in food factories and medical and pharmaceutical supply facilities with the knowledge needed to apply leading international standards a step that strengthens market confidence in national products and boosts their competitiveness domestically and abroad.

The program includes theoretical lectures and practical applications covering quality control mechanisms, sterilization procedures, risk management and international benchmarks applied across production lines in the targeted sectors.
