Ramallah, March 15 (Petra) – A Palestinian family of four was killed Sunday after Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a vehicle in the town of Tammun, south of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank. Two other children were injured by shrapnel.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Israeli occupation forces infiltrated the town before opening fire on a vehicle, killing Ali Bani Odeh, 37, his wife Waad Bani Odeh, 35, and their two children, Muhammad Bani Odeh and Othman Bani Odeh, aged 5 and 7.
Two other children, Mustafa Bani Odeh, 8, and Khaled Bani Odeh, 11, sustained minor injuries to the head and face from shrapnel.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said Israeli forces prevented its medical crews from reaching the wounded inside the vehicle and forced them to leave the scene.
The society later announced that its teams were able to recover the bodies of the four victims from the vehicle and provide assistance to the two injured children.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces carried out raids and incursions in several areas across the West Bank, arresting 22 Palestinians, including former prisoners. The forces also issued a decision to confiscate land and uproot trees east of Qalqilya.
