Jordan, Kazakhstan Senate Panels Discuss Cooperation

Amman, March 30 (Petra) -- The Jordanian-Kazakh Brotherhood Committee at the Senate and its counterpart at the Kazakh Senate held a virtual meeting on Monday to discuss ways to expand parliamentary cooperation and deepen bilateral ties.

Chairman of the Jordanian committee, Senator Mahmoud Freihat, highlighted the strong ties between the two countries and their alignment on regional and international issues, particularly support for the Palestinian people's legitimate rights.

He called for stronger coordination between the two committees and for turning discussions into practical cooperation in parliamentary affairs, investment, trade, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, energy, transport, and tourism.

Members of the Kazakh committee praised Jordan's role in promoting regional security and stability and called for broader cooperation in agriculture, energy, digital transformation, technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and legislative exchange.

The two sides stressed the importance of continued consultation and regular meetings to advance bilateral relations and support broader strategic partnership.
