Amman, Sept. 28 (Petra) - Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abul Samen met on Monday with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to plan arrangements for phase four of Jordan's infrastructure funding program.
The meeting focused on setting criteria to select high-priority projects for phase four based on engineering standards and developmental impact, ensuring efficient allocation of funds.
The program implements a May 2019 memorandum supporting Jordan under Kuwait's Mecca Summit pledges.
Abul Samen lauded KFAED’s continuous support for Jordan's development and infrastructure projects. He pointed to the historic ties between Jordan and Kuwait under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Ministry Secretary General for Technical Affairs Waseem Adwan reviewed key infrastructure projects delivered in 2025 and throughout the program's initial three phases.
The two sides agreed to maintain close coordination to maximize the impact of Kuwaiti funding on Jordan’s infrastructure.
