Amman, July 19 (Petra) -- Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Omani counterpart Badr Albusaidi discussed on Sunday regional developments and their implications for the security and stability of the region.

During a phone call, the two ministers emphasized the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to halt the ongoing escalation in the region. They called for prioritizing dialogue and peaceful solutions to prevent the region from sliding into further instability.

Safadi and Albusaidi also stressed the importance of respecting international law, safeguarding the security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and protecting the interests of regional populations, state sovereignty, and stability.
