Amman, April 14 (Petra) -- A delegation from the Jordan Handicraft Producers Association concluded its participation in the fifth Regional Exhibition for Economic and Social Solidarity in Fez, Morocco, on Tuesday. Supported by the Jordan Tourism Board, the delegation attended as a guest of honor during the eight-day event.
The exhibition featured more than 107 cooperatives and provided a platform for Jordan to market its traditional arts, particularly its renowned mosaic work. The participation aimed to strengthen Jordan’s presence on the global traditional crafts map and highlight the role of hand-crafted sectors in economic development and job creation.
Atta Abu Al-Ghanam, a member of the Jordanian delegation, noted that the artistic creations in mosaic reflected the authenticity and civilization of Jordanian heritage. He stated that the significant interest from visitors and organizers alike demonstrated the deep cultural and economic ties between Jordan and Morocco.
The delegation praised Jordan’s Ambassador to Morocco, Jumana Ghuneimat, for her efforts in promoting Jordanian handicrafts and ensuring the mission’s success. The visit follows a prior exchange in which a Moroccan delegation visited Amman, further cementing bilateral cooperation and the exchange of expertise in heritage arts and cultural tourism.
