Kuwait Airport Fuel Tanks Fire Brought Under Control, No Injuries Reported

Amman, March 8 (Petra) -- Kuwaiti firefighting teams on Sunday brought under control a fire that broke out at fuel storage tanks at Kuwait International Airport, while other crews continued efforts to contain a separate blaze at the headquarters of the Public Institution for Social Security.
According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Brig. Gen. Mohammed Al-Ghareeb, Director of Public Relations and Media and spokesperson for the General Fire Force, said the airport fire did not result in any reported injuries.
Earlier, Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation said a drone had struck two fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport in the morning, igniting a fire at the site.
The authority’s spokesperson confirmed that the incident caused only material damage, with no casualties reported.
