Amman, June 26 (Petra)-- The Kingdom will experience moderate summer weather across the highlands and plains on Friday, while conditions will be relatively hot in the Badia region and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Northwesterly winds will be moderate, becoming active at times.
The JMD forecast indicates a slight rise in temperatures on Saturday, with moderate summer conditions continuing over the highlands and plains, while hot weather will prevail in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds are expected to pick up occasionally, particularly in the Badia.
Temperatures are forecast to continue rising on Sunday, bringing relatively hot conditions to most parts of the Kingdom and hot weather in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds will remain active at times.
Another slight increase in temperatures is expected on Monday, with relatively hot conditions persisting across most regions and hot weather continuing in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds will continue, occasionally becoming active.
Expected temperatures on Friday range between 31 C and 21 C in eastern Amman and 29 C to 19 C in western Amman. Northern highlands will see temperatures between 27 C and 16 C, while the Sharah Highlands will record 27 C to 15 C. Temperatures in the Badia are expected to range from 35 C to 20 C, and in the plains from 31 C to 20 C. The northern Jordan Valley will record 38 C to 23 C, the southern Jordan Valley 40 C to 25 C, while both the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba are forecast to reach highs of 39 C with lows of 24 C.
