Amman, Mar. 23 (Petra)-- Members of the Pakistani community, Jordanian dignitaries, and embassy officials attended a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony held at the Chancery premises to honor Pakistan Day at the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Embassy in Amman.

Maj. Gen. Khurram Sarfraz Khan, Pakistan's ambassador to Jordan, led the event by raising the national flag in front of visitors from a variety of industries, embassy employees, and Pakistani diaspora residents living in the Kingdom.

The significance of the day was emphasized at the occasion by the reading of formal statements from Pakistan's President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister.

Ambassador Khan honored the goal of the nation's founding fathers and emphasized the significance of Pakistan Day in his speech. He underlined the importance of resiliency, creativity, and group accountability in tackling Pakistan's current issues.

Additionally, the ambassador outlined Pakistan's foreign policy aims, emphasizing the close and cordial relationships between Jordan and Pakistan.

He pointed out that the two nations' relationships are based on mutual trust and confidence and cited King Abdullah II's November 2025 visit to Pakistan as a turning point that improved bilateral ties and established a strategic path for future collaboration.

Additionally, Ambassador Khan commended the Pakistani community in Jordan for their important contributions and their part in fostering a favorable perception of Pakistan overseas.

Prayer for Pakistan's ongoing peace, development, and prosperity were said at the ceremony's conclusion.
