Amman, March 30 (Petra) -- Jordan is set for a gradual warming trend over the coming days, following relatively cool and partly to mostly cloudy conditions across much of the Kingdom on Monday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Light rain remains possible through midday in northern areas and parts of the western central regions, while warmer conditions continue to dominate the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds are expected to blow from the west at moderate speeds, becoming active at intervals.

The weather pattern shifts on Tuesday, with temperatures edging higher and skies turning mostly clear. Conditions are forecast to be mild across most regions, with warmer air persisting in low-lying areas, alongside light southwesterly winds and limited low cloud cover in the north.

By Wednesday, temperatures are expected to rise further to around 2–3 C above seasonal averages, reinforcing the warming trend. While conditions remain mild over the highlands and warm elsewhere, the atmosphere is expected to turn less stable later in the day, as cloud cover increases and brings the possibility of light, scattered showers in western parts of the country. Winds will shift southeasterly and become more active during the evening, occasionally raising dust, particularly in desert areas.

On Thursday, the Kingdom will remain under relatively mild to warm conditions, with increasing cloud cover and scattered rainfall expected across northern and central regions, extending to parts of the southwest. Thunderstorms remain possible during the morning hours, before rainfall chances gradually ease later in the day. Winds will shift southwesterly, ranging from moderate to occasionally strong, with gusts likely to stir dust in exposed areas.

Temperature ranges today reflect seasonal variation across regions, with highs and lows in East Amman forecast at 17 C and 7 C, compared with 15 C and 5 C in West Amman. Northern highlands are expected at 13 C to 4 C, and the Sharah highlands at 15 C to 5 C.

In the Badia, temperatures range between 21 C and 8 C, while the plains record 18 C to 7 C. The northern Jordan Valley is forecast at 22 C to 10 C, rising to 25 C to 15 C in the southern valley. The Dead Sea records 24 C to 14 C, while Aqaba reaches 26 C to 16 C.
