Amman, Oct. 29 (Petra) -- Former world boxing champion Mike Tyson, Brazilian football star Ronaldinho, Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan and social media star Hasbulla Magomedov will attend DF UNCAGED mixed martial arts Fight Night in Amman.
The Roman Theatre will host the event Friday, closing Jordan Mixed Martial Arts Week.
According to the organizers, the guests' program in the Kingdom includes tours of several tourist sites, among them Petra and the Dead Sea Corniche.
Hasbulla attended the fighters' open workout at the Dead Sea Corniche on Wednesday.
Ronaldinho won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and the Ballon d'Or in 2005. Arab audiences know Duzyatan from his role in the series "Resurrection: Ertugrul." The organizers added that the guests' visit is part of a program linking the championship to some of Jordan's best-known tourist and historic sites. The week opened in Amman on Tuesday and moved to the Dead Sea Corniche on Wednesday.
Weigh-ins take place at the Amman Citadel this evening. The week ends Friday at the Roman Theatre, which dates to the second century AD.
In a joint initiative, Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board initiated the championship as part of their efforts to develop sports tourism events.
Fight Night features 14 bouts with fighters from 16 countries. MBC Action will broadcast it live and free. Doors open at 5 p.m.
Makana 360 and Jordan Combat Consulting organize the week, overseen by the Jordan Mixed Martial Arts ( MMA) Federation.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board support the activity.
