Amman, June 28 (Petra) – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II emphasized that the national football team and Jordanian fans presented an exceptional model of sportsmanship and impactful presence, successfully winning the world's respect during their historic participation in the 2026 World Cup.
"Yes, we did not gain points, but through the manners of the Nashama, we won the respect of the world," His Royal Highness said in a post on his official Instagram account. "We saw our fringed Shemagh on the shoulders of friends, competitors, and even security personnel and organizers. We saw major international news agencies praising the ethics and weighty presence of the Nashama, and we saw global television screens celebrating the remarkable presence of Jordanian fans." The Crown Prince added: "We saw social bonds among members of our expatriate community at their finest, as they recalled and took pride in their Jordanian identity. We saw supporters and lovers of Jordan from all corners of the world. We lost nothing; rather, we gained 11 role models for 12 million Jordanians. This is how giving is done for our homeland... This is how we unite under one flag; for nations are built through unity, cohesion, ambition, hard work, and sacrifice." His Royal Highness continued: "I say it with pride: We are Jordan, we are the land of the Nashama. Be proud of yourselves, Jordanians. You are capable of reaching global levels in all fields, and the evidence is plenty... It is the first time in the World Cup, but it will not be the last. The ambition of Jordanians is an exceptional case." //Petra// AA
