Amman, July 2 (Petra) -- Minister of Youth Raed Adwan and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) Mousa Maaytah on Thursday attended the second preparatory session for participants in the "Your Voice" program at the Amman Youth Hostel.

The session, titled "Discover Yourself to Lead Others," is organized by the Youth Leadership Development Center at the Ministry of Youth in partnership with the IEC’s "Ana Usharek" (I Participate) program. It brought together 50 young men and women representing various youth centers.

Adwan said that the "Your Voice" program translates Royal directives aimed at empowering young people and aligns directly with the ongoing political modernization process across the Kingdom.

He added that through this program, the ministry aims to enhance political awareness among youth, consolidate the values of citizenship and democracy, and develop leadership skills. He emphasized that it seeks to enable young people to participate actively in public life and decision-making, driven by the firm belief that youth are genuine partners in the process of national development.

Maaytah said that the program serves as a national model for cooperation between the IEC and the Ministry of Youth in politically empowering young people. He noted that it equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance their informed participation in public life while embedding the values of dialogue, active citizenship, and responsibility.

He further pointed out that the IEC prioritizes raising youth awareness regarding the democratic process, viewing them as key partners in political modernization. Investing in their capabilities and providing them with opportunities helps prepare young leaders who are capable of contributing to the service of the nation, Maaytah added.

The four-month program targets male and female members of youth centers to boost their political empowerment and elevate their understanding of the democratic process.

The initiative features dialogue sessions, training workshops, and interactive activities held across 15 youth centers and several sports complexes throughout the Kingdom’s governorates.
