Dubai, Oct. 19 (Petra) -- The General Secretariat of the Arab Media Award announced on Monday that nominations for its 26th edition will open on Tuesday across its primary categories: the "Arab Journalism Award," the "Visual Media Award," and the "Media Personality of the Year Award." According to a press statement released Monday, the General Secretariat specified that the "Arab Journalism Award" encompasses four subcategories: Political Journalism, Economic Journalism, Investigative Reporting, and Best Columnist.

The "Visual Media Award" covers five sub-categories: Best Economic Program, Best Cultural Program, Best Sports Program, Best Social Program, and Best Documentary Project.

Submitted entries must have been published or broadcast across print, visual, or digital media platforms between January 11, 2026, and January 10, 2027. Submissions must be uploaded via the award's official portal: https://dpc.org.ae/ar/AMA.

Individual journalists or joint reporting teams may apply for the Arab Journalism Award categories, whereas nominations for the Visual Media Award are restricted to media organizations.

The "Media Personality of the Year Award" will be conferred by a decision of the award's Board of Directors, honoring individuals with distinguished professional and intellectual careers who have made influential contributions to shaping the Arab media landscape and advancing its message.
