Tunis, Oct. 28 (Petra) - Jordan joined delegates in Tunis on Wednesday for the opening of the 16th International Agricultural Investment and Technology Fair (SIAT 2026).
Running through October 31 under the theme "Investing in Smart, Resilient Agriculture for Food Sovereignty," the expo brings together 155 exhibitors from 11 countries.
Arab Olive Oil Women's Network President Nehaya Muhaisen stated that the network, representing members across 10 Arab nations, is participating to showcase its members' products and promote the culture of extra virgin olive oil.
The Jordanian pavilion features goods produced by rural women network members, including artisan olive oil soap, honey, dried fruits, traditional Jordanian za'atar, and other local products.
Organized by Tunisia's Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA) and inaugurated by Tunisian Minister of Agriculture Ezzeddine Ben Cheikh, the event provides a platform for investors, suppliers, startups, and tech providers across agriculture and fisheries to discuss production methods and boost economic ties.
With Senegal featured as the country of honor, this year's edition includes exhibition spaces, an international forum on climate finance, technical workshops, agricultural research showcases, and a competition for innovative farming solutions.
