Amman, Oct. 20 (Petra) -- The Southern Military Zone on Tuesday thwarted an attempt to smuggle electronic control devices using a drone within its area of responsibility.

Border Guard units detected, intercepted, and brought down the drone inside Jordanian territory, seizing its payload in coordination with military and security agencies.

The confiscated items were transferred to competent authorities to complete the necessary legal and investigative procedures.

The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) reaffirmed its continued commitment to confronting smuggling and infiltration operations in all their forms, deploying its full operational and intelligence capabilities to neutralize threats, and emphasizing the readiness of Border Guard units to safeguard the Kingdom's security and stability.
