Amman, Jan 28 (Petra) – The Lower House's Foreign Affairs Committee met on Wednesday with European Union Ambassador to Jordan, Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, to discuss ways to bolster the Jordanian-EU partnership in various political, economic, and investment fields.

The committee, chaired by MP Haitham Ziyadin, stressed the key EU support of Jordan and the importance of attracting more European investments, given the Kingdom's strategic geopolitical location and a stable environment for business. They also stressed the importance of activating joint trade agreements signed by the two sides.

The committee reviewed the political, economic, and administrative reform initiatives implemented by the Kingdom, affirming Jordan's commitment to continuing to develop its political life and improve the investment climate, thereby enhancing confidence in the national economy and attracting foreign capital.

The EU envoy stressed the deep relations between Jordan and EU member states, citing a recent summit held in Jordan with EU leaders, which focused on foreign policy, defense and security, and investment and trade.

He also noted ongoing diplomatic coordination between the two sides on regional and international issues, emphasizing the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership and the existence of real opportunities to enhance European investments in Jordan, given its stability and attractive economic environment.
