Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia's Abha, King Khalid Airports leave 3 dead, 36 injured

Amman, Oct. 7 (Petra) -- The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced that Abha and King Khalid International Airports were subjected to two separate attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday, targeting their facilities, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Emergency response units and relevant security authorities immediately dealt with both incidents upon occurrence in accordance with approved contingency protocols.
The attack on Abha International Airport resulted in two fatalities among residents of Moroccan and Algerian nationalities, as well as 28 injuries ranging from minor to severe among Saudi citizens and two residents of Bangladeshi and Philippine nationalities.
Meanwhile, the attack on King Khalid International Airport resulted in one fatality a Sudanese resident and eight injuries ranging from minor to severe, involving five Saudi citizens, two Egyptian residents, and one Pakistani resident.
