Jordan Hosts 37th IFATCA Regional Aviation Conference in Amman

Amman, Oct. 26 (Petra) - Minister of Transport and Labor Nidal Katamine opened the 37th Regional Meeting of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations (IFATCA) for Africa and the Middle East in Amman on Monday, de[utizing for HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein.

Katamine said investing in specialized training and fostering partnerships among governments, educational institutions, and the aviation sector are "vital" to maintaining air navigation safety and keeping pace with industry advancements.

He added that developing the aviation sector requires forecasting future workforce needs, aligning training programs with international standards, and bolstering regional cooperation to boost air traffic management efficiency.

Katamine also stressed the need to improve working conditions for air traffic controllers, manage fatigue, and foster a strong safety culture that incorporates feedback from field professionals to ensure sustainable sector growth amid rapid technological change.
