Amman, May 11 (Petra) -- The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed higher on Monday, with the general share price index rising 0.33 percent to 3,869 points.

Turnover reached JD 11.7 million, with 6.3 million shares traded through 3,942 transactions.

At the sector level, the services index rose 1.25 percent, and the industrial index gained 0.56 percent, while the financial index declined 0.17 percent.

Out of 103 companies traded, 34 closed higher and 31 ended lower compared with their previous closing prices.
